Locavores and a European model (a faircompanies dinner)

When New York Times food producer Emily Weinstein joined us for dinner here at faircompanies, one of her first comments was “the US is moving toward this model, the local-obsessed model, the U.S. is trying to evolve into Europe”.

Of course, with that, I had to turn on my camera and from there we talked about eating local, eating slower, an overly-idealized Europe, Michael Pollan and eating what your grandparents ate, Jonathan Safran Foer and a new vegetarianism and whether locavorism could go mainstream.
