The industrialized world has become increasingly efficient- in the US in just a 12 hour work week, we can produce what took 40 hours back in 1950- but instead of more free time, we are working longer hours than ever and we’re no happier.
According to statistics from 65 countries analyzed for the World Values Survey, money and happiness only track until $13,000, after that increases in wealth hardly improve happiness.
