They just banned plastic bags in San Fransisco!  This is getting people in new york start to talk about it too.  I could not more fully support this idea.  They did it in Ireland and cut the amout of bags by 95% in one year! Every little bit helps.  

But until they do, I will continue to bring my own bags to the store and annonce really loudly (as i stare at the other customers with a condemning glare.)

No, Thanks!  I brought my own bag…  as i self righteously stride out of Gristedes with a full Citarella bag.
