To get an idea of how quickly biodiesel is becoming available to the average consumer, back in 2001, the National Biodiesel Board announced the opening of the first “publicly accessible fueling station to offer pure biodiesel”.
Now, there are over 800 fueling stations in the U.S. with plenty of websites to locate them (here for example). Or if you’re on the road, the Biodiesel Board recently announced a toll-free number (866-biodiesel) that you can call to find one 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
For this video, we stopped in at one of the 33 California stations (at Hopland’s Real Goods).
