During our first month living with worms and our worm bin, we definitely witnessed how fertile the worm castings are: our bin began to sprout.

During the first couple weeks we followed the instructions for our Can-O-Worms bin and didn’t feed our wrigglers very much. We started by putting food on the bottom level to eventually work our way up.

In this video, you can see our bin begin to sprout from we’re-not-sure-what- seeds (possibly peppers?) and our 3-year-old gets involved in an early feeding when we finally go beyond dumping just coffee grounds.
